More Eunny Jang! Totally Tubular Cast-On

I love being able to embed these cool YouTube vids onto my blog. Isn't it great? Interweave's Eunny Jang (Knitting Daily) does it again: a super-handy Tubular Cast-On video. I'll bet you've probably always wanted to know how to do it, but never got around to looking it up. It's a very easy-peasy cast-on (otherwise, I'd never have bothered doing one - ever!). Enjoy!

Yes, I am still spinning, but I have had SO little time to indulge in that most-loved pastime. I'm also knitting up that "Morning Surf" scarf again using more of my hand-spun. It's that bumpity, slubby, 50 silk/50 Merino green stuff that kept insisting (in all the photos) that it was BLUE. Well. It's still green.

I made the morning surf scarf---it was so mesmerizing to knit! I used handspun and it turned out good, if I do say so myself!

Yes, Delighted, the Morning Surf scarf IS mesmerizing - I absolutely love it and plan on knitting more. I can't help myself! But I gotta spin more yarn. It's been several days since I've done any, what with knitting and getting ready for Thanksgiving. Busy, busy, busy hands!

Hi, Dori Ann! You mean you've not seen the scarf? Do you take Interweave's Spin-Off magazine? It was in this Summer's issue and I just fell in love with it. They had 8 (or 10?) examples of the scarf all knitted up in handspun. The yarns were all so different from each other, than the scarf would never look the same twice! It seems to look nice, no matter what size yarn or needles you use AND it's a great way to use up those smaller amounts of handspun that you don't know what to do with. Here's my original post on it:http://fairy-spunfibers.blogspot.com/2008_10_05_archive.html. Just scroll down to the Friday, Oct 10th entry. I've got the link to Heartstrings Fiber Arts url. If I understand it right, you can sign up for her (rare) newsletter emails and access that pattern for free! I absolutely LOVE this pattern (it's so quick 'n' easy).
