The Most Obnoxious Handspun Yarn...

in all History is now being made into an eye-popping version of the Morning Surf Scarf (my 3rd version!) for my daughter. It's being knitted from one of my earliest attempts at dye-your-own Merino top. SHE thinks it's "awesome". I get headaches just from looking at it. I need sunglasses. It's nearly twice as bright as the photos show:

I'm almost done with my second Morning Surf Scarf. Too bad I didn't spin up enough yarn :-(. I would've if I'd had more fiber, but I'll just have to treat this as a neck-tucker scarf. Darn! Scarves take up more yarn than you might think!

Thanks for the info, I stopped taking the Mag when I ended up with stacks and stacks of un read magazines! I will have some more time now and am going to re subscibe to Spin off Hand Woven and Knit, I love them all.

I know how overwhelming it can be - too much neat stuff to read - and nowhere near enough time to sit down and READ the stuff. I'm just so glad you'll have more time. I really love the Spin-Off mags. I sit down and read it cover-to-cover the minute I get a chance!

It is so pretty even if it is bright! The colors are similar to the one I made-also out of an early dye batch-must be beginner colors! Beautiful!

Thank you, Delighted, but I dunno...my 15 year old dd loves it, of course - it "matches" absolutely everything in her closet (LOL). But it was most definitely a beginner dye-job. I didn't know what I was doing (gee, how can you tell?). BUT...it's done. Finished it tonight at the yarn store (home-away-from-home), so now I can go on to less obnoxious knits.
